The Hummingbirds are a Latin folk group, based in Nottingham and Derby. Singing in a
mixture of Spanish and English and taking influences from bands like The Buena Vista Social
Club and The Gypsy Kings, these songs are adapted to our own unique style,
incorporatingUkelele and Violin into the traditional guitar mix. Our original songs sung in
Spanish, Gaelic and English were conceived to fit into this genre.

Performance and audience interaction are very much part of the acts, we include the
audience in our rhythm section and in our dance.  Magda our dancer uses a range of dance
styles to highlight themes within the music, thus emphasising the connection betweenfolk
music and dance. Enjoy our upbeat, improvisational style.
